Healthy Snacks - Fruit parfait
Last week, On Friday we had Healthy living day. And we made Fruit parfait with Our buddy class room 2! The ingredients were: Fruit - Banana, Strawberry's, Apples and grapes. Yogurt and some nuts or if you have a nut allergy then you could have weetbix. And all you have to do is layer it out!
Emergency Survival kit.
This is my Emergency Survival kit. This is the stuff that you need in case of an emergency happens. Bottled water, Canned food, Torches are just some things you need and I would put all of these things into a cooler and then store it under my dining table or under my mums desk.

Athletics - Shot put!
Today we had athletics and we were doing Shot put. We had a warm up where we would practise passing a volleyball as if we were passing in Netball.
After that we went outside to do the real thing! Our main focuses were to keep our palms clean but our fingers and neck are dirty, Which means you have the shot put on the side of your neck and fingers but you aren't touching the shot put with your palm. Also we made sure that our wrist at all times was facing up, Another thing is that we lean back and then when we PUSH IT we put all of our weight onto the leg opposite to the arm you're PUSHING with. One main thing to remember is to make sure you're FACING to the right if you are right handed and left if you are left handed.

New World
On 7th Nov 2016, We went to new World to look at the healthy stuff and the unhealthy stuff. We got put into groups and we headed down to new World. We got instructions and then we went to muesli bars first. I put the healthy bar as the unhealthy one and the unhealthy one as the healthy one. For Muesli Bars, The healthy option was A Nut bar, and My unhealthy option was Oaty choc, Then we headed to Snack foods.
For snack foods, The unhealthy option was Dairy milk - Caramello, It had 54.8g of sugar and 145mg of Salt. My healthy option was Poppy Sesame, It had 2.2g of sugar but 847mg of salt. New World customers picked the wrong time of day to come to New world! After Snack foods, We went to Milk/Dairy products, After that we went to Breakfast Cereals, Then Bread. After those category's we went over to the fruit and veggie isle and we had different colors and we had to put each colour of the fruit into the colour, But we couldn't put banana as yellow because we don't the skin do we? After that we came out of new world and we each got given some Little gardens. Some people went back to school, Some people stayed then the school van came back and then I stayed, Then the van came back and we arrived back to school.

One thing I forgot to mention is when you read the labels, Read from per 100g/100ml.

Look for the Energy, Fat, Sugar, Sodium and Dietary fibre. If its a milk product look for the calcium.
